I did not find an entry for data redundancy in the Database area, where it could be viewed almost as the opposite of the meaning in engineering: the unnecessary duplication of information which leads to data inconsistencies and anomalies.

Telecommunication redundancy

[edit]

I didn't see an article for redundancy in reference to telecommunications. I am not a telecommunications expert, but I am taking a class on it, and was looking up the definition. AceHarding 00:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correction, I suppose the engineering section qualifies. AceHarding 00:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No humor, please

[edit]

I noticed that the box saying "look up redundancy in Wiktionary" is in here twice. Clever, but Wikipedia really isn't the place for funny stuff. I'm removing the second box. ☠ QuackOfaThousandSuns (Talk) ☠ 23:54, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
