Welcome, newcomer!
Here are some useful tips to ease you into the Wikipedia experience:
- First, take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial, and perhaps dabble a bit in the test area.
- When you have some free time, take a look at the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines. They can come in very handy!
- Remember to use a neutral point of view!
- If you need any help, feel free to post a question at the Help Desk
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Also, here are some odds and ends that I find useful from time to time:
- Wikipedia:Policy Library
- Wikipedia:Utilities
- Wikipedia:Cite your sources
- Wikipedia:Verifiability
- Wikipedia:Wikiquette
- Wikipedia:Civility
- Wikipedia:Conflict resolution
- Wikipedia:Brilliant prose
- Wikipedia:Pages needing attention
- Wikipedia:Peer review
- Wikipedia:Bad jokes and other deleted nonsense
- Wikipedia:Village pump
- Wikipedia:Boilerplate text
Feel free to ask me anything the links and talk pages don't answer. You can most easily reach me by posting on my talk page.

USAMO
[edit]Thank you for your edits to United States of America Mathematical Olympiad. You've greatly improved the article. But please cite your source when copying large blocks of text, e.g. the qualification criteria from the AMC website. I've tagged the post-2002 section, but I recognize the pre-2001 text as well, and I don't want to look for that information on the AMC website. Aerion//talk 01:18, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Jeopardy! UToC
[edit]I reverted, basically because it's not the time to make drastic unannounced edits. If you have a problem with this, add to my talk page, but unless there's community support for such a move, I will continue to oppose it. (Edit: I saw that you left the notice on the talk page for nearly 2 days before making the edit. This is appreciated, but remember that lack of opposition is not the same as support.) ral315 05:21, May 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Are you done using Jeopardy! Ultimate Tournament of Champions/Full Tournament Results? If not, I'd like to ask you to move it into your user space (like User:Mwl/jeopardy or somesuch). Using underpages in the main namespace is generally discouraged. If you are done with it, could it be deleted? Thanks, I'm a little anal about some things, and blank pages irk me to no end. humblefool® 03:29, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
On Talk:Jeopardy! Ultimate Tournament of Champions#Article split you mention something about me not reverting properly - I think you must have meant someone else as the only edits I made during that time are here and here Trödel|talk 19:03, 27 May 2005 (UTC)
Jennings not eligible for ToC?
[edit]In regards to your edit on his entry, why isn't Ken Jennings eligible for the next tournament of champions? Are there any references for this? --Jeffrey O. Gustafson 10:03, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
