This page is currently directed to the 3GPP standard of mobility management. Mobility management is a common feature to almost every mobile device network, not just 3GPP networks. Therefore, the article of "mobility management" should be directed to basic location management concepts common to mobile networks. A subsection of this article, or specific separate article titled "3GPP mobility management", should then be dedicated to the 3GPP mobility management standard. - Maybe a disambiguation page is needed, since "Mobility management" also refers (expecially in Italy) to Transportation Demand Management and Transit-oriented development. In Italy, mobility managers and transport planners are quite the same. -- User:Salatino 14:33, 2 May 2006
I agree with Salatino, since in Sweden Mobility management is used widely as a synonym for Transportation demand management. (Goranintripoli (talk) 10:40, 4 December 2009 (UTC))
- Should we renamte the article Mobility management (Telecommuniations)?Mange01 (talk) 13:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- TMSI is not necessarily restricted to a particular geographic location - it is actaully usually assigned by a given MSC and in split architecture MSC-Server networks a single server may interface to a very large part of the radio network, or even the whole network. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.120.102.137 (talk) 11:39, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
