Featured article candidates
[edit]Salve!
I nominated W. Mark Felt as a WP:FAC. As you commented on the Deep Throat talk page, I'd appreciate your comments at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/W. Mark Felt/archive1. PedanticallySpeaking 15:50, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
- I voted in favor. It's an important article even if it's not perfect (what is perfect?)--jenlight 04:58, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)
You supported my nomination of the Mark Felt article (thanks!) and I wonder if I could get your support on another FBI article up as a FAC, Helen Gandy, who was Hoover's secretary for five decades. PedanticallySpeaking 21:04, July 14, 2005 (UTC)
You were kind enough to support my nomination of Mark Felt as a featured article and I wonder if you would look at my newest FAC, Tom Brinkman. The voting page is at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Tom Brinkman/archive1. PedanticallySpeaking 15:07, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
"What is a sock puppet attack?"
[edit]Assuming this is your LiveJournal, Jenlight, it is my opinion that you have conducted yourself quite poorly. Bringing unrelated third parties to the Wikipedia to stuff ballot boxes is considered to extremely distasteful, and with the number of edits under your belt, you ought to have realized that. You're part of the reason this VfD looks the way it does now, and all those people you encouraged to participate will be ignored during the final vote anyhow. To answer your question, a sock puppet attack is what you just caused. --Ardonik.talk()* 16:19, August 21, 2005 (UTC)
- cool. Do I get some sort of award? --jenlight 19:14, August 22, 2005 (UTC)
Back Again
[edit]You supported my W. Mark Felt FAC nomination. I'm grateful and though it was successful. I've got another FAC now, the next congresswoman from Ohio, Jean Schmidt. The FAC page is here. I hope to get it featured by September 6, the day she will be sworn in. I'd appreciate your support. PedanticallySpeaking 17:27, August 23, 2005 (UTC) (P.S. If you are worried about the "fair use" of her picture, when she's sworn, we'll be able to replace it with a nice U.S. government public domain photo.)
Massachusets Suggestion
[edit]Try to focus on facts in the very begiing of the article: Why not instead name our states flower "Mayflower" Its Motto: "By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty" Its state bird "The Chickadee." Its Highest Point: Mt. Greylock; 3491 feet... Its loose and ungainly and one would have to push a dozen links and read a lot of garbage to learn the most minor facts about Massachusetts. --merlinus 17:54, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Merlinus--merlinus 17:54, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why you wrote this here. I didn't write the Massachusetts article. --jenlight 15:20, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
