Languages are my life. I can speak 9 languages well and I know the basics of another 4. I am also the head organizer of the Polyglot Gathering and I blog about languages at Learnlangs.com.
Holding a degree in Romance Languages and Computational Linguistics, I develop computer-based language courses for a living. Many people recognize my voice from GermanPod101.com, though I stopped producing new lessons for them in 2012.
Apart from languages, I also have a huge interest in politics, history, philosophy, society, different cultures and so on. I often found myself explaining German idiosyncracies on Quora, even being awarded Top Writer status for this, so I recently launched a blog about Germany at UnderstandingGermany.de.
