User talk:Mike martone@yahoo.com
Hello Mike martone@yahoo.com and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Person List,
[edit]Hi Mike,
Your list doesn't get much support at VfD. Perhaps I can help you, if you tell me more about your project:
- I assume the list is generated with a computer program, what are you using as input?
- Is it really intended for Wikipedia readers? If it's more designed as an aid for Wikipedia editors, it should better be placed in the Wikipedia namespace.

- I don't think the list will survive in the article namespace. But it would fit in the Wikipedia namespace near Wikipedia:Statistics -- Pjacobi 18:38, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
You're welcome!
[edit]Henry Clinton
[edit]FYI the link Henry Clinton has changed to Henry Clinton (American War of Independence) At the moment the page User:Mike martone@yahoo.com/Taxonomy DDC 930 links to Sir Henry Clinton which is a redirect page which now redirects to a disambiguation of Henry Clinton. Please could you fix your link. Philip Baird Shearer 10:12, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Ditto for [[Wages]]
[edit]I am in the process of changing all references to [[Wages]] to [[Wage]]s for the purpose of removing the redundant page Wages. Your help in accomplishing this on User:Mike martone@yahoo.com/Taxonomy DDC 930 is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris 15:41, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Halló Mike! I just found these doubles and checked Wahtlinkshere. Do you have a procedure at en.wikipedia redarding this? At eo.wikipedia there is such a list. Please see also ca:Joan Lluis Vives i Marc, eo:Juan Luis VIVES, pl:Jan Ludwik Vives.
- http://www.vives.org/docs/bio.php shows two variants i Marc(h). How about these foreigner names. What variant to use? Should the original be specified in the article?
