Gigs under alternate names
[edit]I recall hearing that ninetynine once played a heavy-metal set as "69". Does anybody have any details on this?

Speedy deletion
[edit]Clearly not notable, I mean just look at the plays on their last.fm, for instance. Asenine (talk)(contribs) 17:16, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- I strongly recommend bringing it to WP:AFD for consensus, or adding a proposed deletion tag to the article. It does not qualify for speedy, IMO. Cheers, Keeper | 76 19:13, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Since when has Last.fm been a qualifier of notability? As I understand it, popularity is not absolutely necessary at all. While per WP:MUSIC the band easily qualifies as containg a founder member of Sleater-Kinney I had a look through Google (where there are 567 hits for ninetynine "Laura Macfarlane") for some good cites. I like this one [1] which notes that in 2003 they were granted $12K AU towards the cost of international touring. There are plenty of independent reviews, such as [2] that establish their international reputation. Wwwhatsup (talk) 20:21, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
