Who is the carp ?

Carp is a fish who belong to the Cyprinids family. Carp is native from China, where a lot exotic species were raise. Carp was introduce in Europe in XII century and in USA in the 70s, and they live in soft water of the whole world, except in South America, in Australia and Madagascar. In wild state, there are 3 kinds of carp: the leather carp who is almost devoid of scales, the mirror carp who has some big scales, and the common carp who is glaze of scales. Adult don’t weigh much than 8 kilos but some specimens who weigh 35 kilos and more, have already be listed. Carp copulate between May and July and female lay among aquatic herb. Carp prosper in quite hot water, in particular in shallow lakes with muddy bed. In winter they become dull, stop eating and stay near bed of water. Carp eat in bed of water; they shake mud and tear up by the roots vegetation. Carp can survive in polluted water, where other fishes can’t live. Carp are subject of an important fish breeding in Europe, in Asia, in South Africa, and in USA but less than the other countries which were cite.
