Diagram referenced in the article

[edit]

There is a diagram referenced in the article. It looks like it has a cone for capturing sound vibrations and an electromagnet which might be able to convert the vibrations to an electrical signal (or perhaps vice versa, using the cone to produce acoustic waves from an electrical signal). Is that what it is? What is the date of that diagram? For a "telephone", would some sort of amplifier also be needed? (I suspect that the website on which that is published was somewhat biased; the site seems to be defunct now, and there are some other citations in the article that link to it as well.) —BarrelProof (talk) 18:06, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Antonio Meucci mentioned in The Godfather Part III (1990) movie.

Please mention in Popular Culture, Antonio Meucci mentioned in The Godfather Part III (1990) movie. Man Floor (talk) 16:21, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"X in popular culture" sections are collections of unmotivated trivia. Random appearance of an item in a movie, video game or TV program has negligible value for learning about the subjecct. --Wtshymanski (talk) 19:32, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to lede

[edit]

Knowing that changing the lede can create many disputes and edit wars especialy on such sensitive contents, I thought I might write here first even if my edit is minor.

As the article mentions the resolution of the U.S. house of representatives I think it is correct to link the source of the resolution in order for the reader to make his own mind on the subject.

If anyone does not agree with the edit please discuss it here first before reverting.Fra098 (talk) 09:43, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
