Hello,

I added the stub to the above article so that people may expand it. You are correct that it does not meet the definition of a stub, you are free to remove it. I would suggest adding an {{expand}} tag perhaps? Also references are always nice! Cheers - Ozzykhan 03:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination

[edit]

I saw this article and after sharpening the text and adding some extra figures I have nominated it for the main page. I don't speak the language so there are still a few words in the population table which are not in English (I'm guessing it says "houses"... can you help. Hope you approve. Victuallers (talk) 11:29, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the improvements. The second row of the table really deals with house count, so you're 100% right. As for Jewish population of Blevice my source gives the following information: Sporadic Jewish settlement (usually one or two Jewish families ... until the mid-19th century, in 1880 - 6 Jews, later none. ... --Miaow Miaow (talk) 13:01, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well done - you made it!

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 14 April, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Blevice, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

The DominatorTalkEdits 21:57, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

--Cinik (talk) 21:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ta výtka patří někomu jinému, já jen dělal pořádek v kategoriích a přidával čárky nad é. Text článku není moje práce... :-) --Miaow Miaow (talk) 00:21, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahoj. To ja jsem vytvoril kdyz vsichni ostatni byli moc lini a nevytvorili ho. Mate najeake vytky? --NicolasLord (talk) 07:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Taky zdravím a za tu aktivitu moc děkuju. Ono to taky není o chuti vytvářet. Zato zdroj toho foto a důvod, proč by mělo být PD, to by mě opravdu zajímalo neb o tomto silně pochybuju. --Miaow Miaow (talk) 10:26, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Miaow Miaow! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 687 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jana Pechanová - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Jake Arnold has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced BLP.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. May I ask WHAT do you consider unsourced??? The external link (IAAF database) below the article contains ALL data mantioned. As far as there are no other sources used I think it would make no sense to repeat this as in-line references. --Miaow Miaow (talk) 11:40, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the running man barnstar Miaow Miaow. As a sign of gratitude, I think I have pretty much saved from deletion the article you started on Jake Arnold! Great work on the photos from the TNT-Fortuna Meeting by the way – they really help people identify the athletes and understand the competition. I think they help make articles full of numbers and competitions a lot more interesting! I've still got some photos from the Great City Games that I have to upload... Thanks and take care!

V případě zájmu mohu poslat i samostatně.

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Lee Valley gate set map

[edit]

On my talk page -- Just to let you know: File:Lee Valley White Water Centre (1st gate set, 2012 Olympics).svg, in contrast to the second image (File:Lee Valley White Water Centre (2nd gate set, 2012 Olympics).svg), lacks a license tag and is therefore threatened by deletion. Please have a look at it and correct this problem. BTW I think it is a great illustration and would fit not only into en:Lee Valley White Water Centre (currently the only usage) but also into many more articles (both on the venue and on the events) in various languages. Particularly we would like to use it in cs: wiki but we have to be sure the file will not disappear within few days. --Miaow Miaow (talk) 12:29, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update -- The file was deleted from Commons before I learned of the problem. My attempts to re-upload it to Commons all failed. I have uploaded it to English Wikipedia (under the same file name). If you can figure out how to move it to Commons, or to upload it to cs: wiki, please do so. I will be away from the Internet for the next 10 days. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Chržín may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

IAAF Hall of Fame

[edit]

You made contributions to the IAAF Hall of Fame#Other athletes who match the criteria section that has been removed by User:Prolog. The conversation first went to User talk:Prolog and is now moving to Wikipedia:No original research/Noticeboard#IAAF Hall of Fame where the discussion apparently will now continue. Your participation is invited. Trackinfo (talk) 21:59, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invitation. Unfortunately I have to side more with your opponent than with you. Not per WP:NOR but because I consider any supplementary list of potential candidates unnecessary and dispensable. Its creation is a waste of time. Those people, who only match the preliminary criteria, will be important for the article after they also become members, not earlier. --Miaow Miaow (talk) 04:15, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Czech help needed

[edit]

Hello Miaow Miaow, I'm contacting you because we need some Czech translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on cs.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Czech Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 23:41, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, it seems I'm coming back several weeks too late. Anyway, as someone, who has only very limited experience with VE (and several times openly criticized its deployment), I wouldn't be the best choice for a translator. :-) --Miaow Miaow (talk) 19:59, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
