Talk:Right-Hand Path
Is Christianity a Right Hand Path religion? I think it probably loosely fits the first three bullets, but not the fourth. That is, the ideal final outcome doesn't have individuals dissolved or absorbed into something or someone greater, but has them remain unique persons in perfect loving relationship with each other and God. I'm throwing this out as a question, as I haven't seen religions classified this way before. Wesley
After reading the Left Hand Path article, I think this attribute of LHP comes closer to describing Christianity:
- The goal of becoming god/dess-like and retaining one's isolate intelligence and identity for as long as possible.
Of course, this categorization reminds of the old saying: There are two kinds of people in the world: those who divide everyone into two kinds of people and those who don't. :-) Wesley 22:27 Nov 8, 2002 (UTC)
- Part of Christianity tends to be the idea of submitting your will to that of God's - that's why it's considered RHP... Martin 11:31 18 Jun 2003 (UTC)
- I'm wondering if RHP and LHP really deserve to be categories... gbog 06:41, 2004 Jun 25 (UTC)
