Talk:English the Global Language
This looks to me like an essay about what might happen or has been happening to English. Is it appropriate material for an encyclopedia? Might it not be better to summarize the findings/views of the acknowledged source of these ideas in a subsection of the WikiPedia entry on the English language?
Latin (English) Alphabet.
[edit]One might also mention that the "English" Alphabet (no accents áàâä etc) is also widely used.
Many countries with alphabets that are strange to every one else, use - as a courtesy - the Latin alphabet for all manner of things such as street signs. Think of Korean, Hindi, Urdu. Even if the words remain in the orginal language, the pronounciation becomes reasonably clear in the Latin alphabet.
As a general rule, there is space on road signs for two languages only, the local one and the Latin one. This also applies to things like the languages used for air traffic control. English does have something of the upper hand, and this is not likely to change anytime soon.

Merge with English language artiicle might be the most appropriate
[edit]Though the material does have some encyclopedic information, I don't think it should stand alone as an article. Portions could be merged to various language related or culture related topics.
