From Cleanup: Top shelf dict def.
- Delete. Dicdef with no likelihood of improvement. DJ Clayworth 17:07, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Well, I expanded so that it at least explains where the phrase comes from. I guess it could be further expanded with a list of liquors that are considered top shelf, but I'm not a connoisseur. No real strong opinion on whether to keep. Isomorphic 01:29, 24 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- When this gets deleted, transkiki to Wiktionary, ok? Isomorphic 22:20, 26 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- I like the added detail, but it's still detail that is most appropriate in Wiktionary. Delete. Rossami 18:36, 24 Apr 2004 (UTC)

- Comment: In the UK Top shelf has the sense of 'pornographic' - usually as part of the phrase "top shelf magazine", since this is where such dubious pleasures are stored in our shops. I'm a newbie, but I'll try and see if I'm understanding all this by adding: even in this UK sense it would be a slang dict-def rather than a subject. Unless you want to redirect to 'pornography', but I'm sure you don't... --bodnotbod 17:34, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)
