There's something in the first paragraph...
[edit]The first paragraph of the plot is wrong. "They eventually develop a relationship, but it soon emerges that Lucy suffers from anterograde amnesia from a car accident she was in a year earlier." why develop? they met that morning but the next morning Lucy didn't know him. Need Sixth Sense ending?
[edit]I think the reveal of the Sixth Sense ending should be taken out. It's one thing to reveal spoilers about the subject, another to reveal spoilers about another movie entirely. Especially when its such a big spoiler. DJ Clayworth
- Okay, take it out. The spoiler warning for one movie can't really apply to another, can it? Anyway, I have to rewrite a bit tomorrow, because I forget parts of the plot sequence. Say, did you see 5FD yet? --Uncle Ed 22:09, 19 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Love
[edit]I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! This is only the 3rd time in my life that I've ever watched the same movie two days in a row! The others were Field of Dreams and Dead Again. See a pattern here? --Uncle Ed 16:30, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- I myself enjoy this film and hold it as one of the best romantic comedies. The article, in its current state, certainly requires some attention... —Hollow Wilerding 02:50, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Article tone
[edit]The tone of this article is not consistent with Wikipedia's intended style. I've marked it as such. --69.211.104.87 20:11, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- The critical reactions section is good and highly accurate. The plot section needs some work, certainly.

- Changing "Plot" to "Story" would clear this up, I'd think. Generally when people use the "Plot" header they give a summation while with the "Story" header they tend to go into excessive detail of the film. Either way something needs to be done. 65.145.213.126 05:00, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. There are some portions that need rewording. I've noticed a few cliches that should not be used. For example, the statement that the father "told off" Henry is an expression that only someone with cultural familiarity would understand. There are a few examples but I'm limited in my time so if someone knows how to reword things elegantly, it would really improve this article. Kevin77v 02:44, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Then just hyperlink that "told off" to an article on wikipedia about snitching or whatever, it isn't gonna kill people, learning new expressions.
- The purpose of writing an article is to communicate effectively, not teach expressions. There are so many different expressions that vary from culture to culture that it would be annoying to a reader to have to click on links constantly to find out what they mean. Even the same expression may vary in meaning from culture to culture. It's much better to simply write it in a way that can be understood by any English speaking person, since the audience is not one specific culture. Kevin77v 08:20, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Soundtrack
[edit]Found a listing of other songs in the film on Amazon. May be worth throwing it in here, good info. If you use it, feel free to delete it off this talk page.
- From Sarah Core "lizabeth83" (Washington, PA USA)
- Here's an updated story about the music I found from the movie for everyone, because I've received upwards of 100 emails regarding the original review.
- On the Internet Movie Database I found a listing of some of the songs that aren't on the soundtrack. Curious, I went through the movie (many times) and listened carefully for all of the songs that I love that are missing from the soundtrack. You can buy them online or use a peer-to-peer program to download them yourself. I have the songs listed in order of appearance in the movie.

Link: Cow.
[edit]Is it really neccesary to have links to Cow, Toothpick, Waffles and other things that everyone already knows anyway?
Original Research
[edit]The huge recent cut of "original research" included a lot of well-written and interesting information, most of which can be referenced through reviews and news items, which were admittedly unreferenced. Somebody in the film project should consider restoring some of this information with better citations. MahlerFan 15:36, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Trivia GONE
[edit]I usually like to read the trivia on articles, and I don't delete them when they have the tag on there, but the trivia on this page is just plain ridiculous. Let me give you an example: There couldn't be any references to "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" because 50 First Dates was filmed before then. Jeez, sometimes I think these articles are edited by 3-year olds. Anonymous~Source 23:17, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
What about how Kevin James is in the beginning with all the women that met "Henry Roth" kinda a coincidence that a gay connection with Kevin James was in one of Adam's previous movies before I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry 64.234.245.159 (talk) 01:49, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Bad language
[edit]Bad language is in this film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Australiaaz (talk • contribs) 20:00, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
How about anteriograde Amnesia
[edit]A Case on Anteriograde Amnesia "His only major impairment is profound anterograde amnesia: he is unable to remember anything that has happened since the infection, which was 28 years ago" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.87.137.231 (talk) 14:37, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's obvious that the condition depicted in this light comedy is just as much a plot device as the ever-repeating day in Groundhog Day, and is every bit as fictional. Unfortunately this hasn't stopped people putting their own speculations and comparisons into the article. I suggest we trim the medical section to a simple sourced statement that it isn't a real condition, and remove the material from the lead section. Nobody has ever mistaken this film for Awakenings. Anterograde Amnesia
[edit]Hello, I added a few sentences on Anterograde Amnesia to introduce the topic to viewers. Feel free to remove it or add onto it; this was an edit for a psychology class of mine. I also cited a source (#21). Any feedback given is appreciated! JustinC7 (talk) 20:47, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
