[edit]There is a photo or artist's rendering of Pohl and an article by Hans Schorn about him in the Dec. 14 1916 issue of the NZfM (pp. 393-5), by the way. In German but I can make some attempts to translate. Seems to concentrate on his relations with Wagner on a quick glance (I note that my German is quite poor!) Schumann
[edit]Did Schumann commission Pohl to adapt Uhland's ballad Der Sanger's Fluch in 1852 (for setting to music) or had Pohl already done so? Schissel | Sound the Note! 14:57, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
