The One Direction Unicorn Riding Club
[edit]Yo Paley, should we include this, erm, "unique" musical tribute to Old Harry? --Hillbillyholiday talk 18:09, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm. If 'Old Harry Rocks' is going to go in a musical direction, personally I prefer something like this. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 20:11, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yes indeed!
I read here that H.G. Wells' ashes were scattered by the rocks:
While we were still abeam of the two chalk stacks called Old Harry and Old Harry's Wife that stand below the white cliffs between Swanage and Studland, my father's ashes went into the sea. The wind took them off as a long veil that struck the very pale green water with a hiss.
..which might be worth a mention, and there are two pictures by Paul Nash freely available from the Tate. [1] --Hillbillyholiday talk 04:33, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Old Harry's wife
[edit]The article says: "Old Harry's original wife fell in 1509". Is this true? Some other sources say the original wife died in 1896. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/studland-bay/features/old-harry-a-purbeck-landmark Juuha (talk) 17:51, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Juuha — Preceding unsigned comment added by Juuha (talk • contribs) 16:05, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
