Politics
[edit]In the politics section, should it be noted that he and his wife actively campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 primaries and general election??? SecretName101 (talk) 07:34, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Should country be listed in the lead?
[edit]The consensus is to refer to McGraw in the lead as a country singer.

Should the lead refer to McGraw in the lead as a country singer or just a singer? A discussion on MOS:BLP has ruled that whether or not to include genre in the lead should be decided on a case by case situation. JDDJS (talk) 22:11, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer - Considering country is the only genre of music he produces. Meatsgains (talk) 03:24, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Singer of country music or any variation of terms denoting the genre of music for which the subject is most notable. If McGraw happens in the future to notably expand his repertoire, then the article shall (or should) reflect that, too. -The Gnome (talk) 08:01, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer - A quick look across various country music singers shows there is not really a standard practice. Neither is particularly wrong; however, the words country singer add precision. Thanks for your work.Horst59 (talk) 23:22, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer Summed by a bot. When T-Swift says "When you think Tim McGraw..." I think "Country Singer." Comatmebro (talk) 22:06, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer (Summoned by bot) Genre is well attached to him, and he to it. L3X1 (distænt write) 15:50, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer - that's who he is, that's what he does, that's what he is known for, and most importantly, that's what the sources say. Isaidnoway (talk) 20:32, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- Country singer (Summoned by bot) This can probably be closed. Has he ever recorded anything in a different genre? CityOfSilver 15:12, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- Snow time I hope my !vote is clear. Collect (talk) 16:24, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- Country yes, strong oppose for "singer-songwriter". That is a specific designation for a certain type of songwriter and performer. McGraw has written some of his music, but by-and-large, the songs he records are written by others -- that disqualifies him from the singer-songwriter category. I am in favor of the current wording, "Country singer, songwriter, and actor". -- ψλ ● ✉ ✓ 16:46, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
